πλήν ὁ λαός εἰμί θυμιάω ἐπί ὁ ὑψηλός ὅτι οὐ οἰκοδομέω οἶκος ὁ ὄνομα κύριος ἕως νῦν

AndthewisdomofSolomonaboundedexceedinglybeyondthewisdomofalltheancients,andbeyondallthewisemenofEgypt:andhetookthedaughterofPharao,andbroughtherintothecityofDavid,untilhehadfinishedbuildinghisownhouse,andthehouseoftheLordfirst,andthewallofJerusalemroundabout.Insevenyearshemadeandfinished<b>them</b>.AndSolomonhadseventythousandbearersofburdens,andeightthousandhewersofstoneinthemountain:andSolomonmadethesea,andthebases,andthegreatlavers,andthepillars,andthefountainofthecourt,andthebrazensea—andhebuiltthecitadelasadefenceaboveit,hemadeabreachinthewallofthecityofDavid:thusthedaughterofPharaowentupoutofthecityofDavidtoherhousewhichhebuiltforher.Thenhebuiltthecitadel:andSolomonofferedupthreewhole-burnt-offeringsintheyear,andpeace-offeringsonthealtarwhichhebuilttotheLord,andheburntincensebeforetheLord,andfinishedthehouse.AndthesearethechiefpersonswhopresidedovertheworksofSolomon;threethousandandsixhundredmastersofthepeoplethatwroughttheworks.AndheburitAssur,andMagdo,andGazer,andupperBaethoron,andBallath:onlyafterhehadbuiltthehouseoftheLord,andthewallofJerusalemroundabout,afterwardshebuiltthesecities.AndwhenDavidwasyetliving,hechargedSolomon,saying,Behold,thereiswiththeeSemeithesonofGera,oftheseedofBenjaminoutofChebron:hecursedmewithagrievouscurseinthedaywhenIwentintothecamp;andhecamedowntomeetmeatJordan,andIsworetohimbytheLord,saying,Heshallnotbeslainwiththesword.Butnowdonotthouholdhimguiltless,forthouartamanofunderstanding,andthouwiltknowwhatthoushaltdotohim,andthoushaltbringdownhisgreyhairswithbloodtothegrave.AndthekingcalledSemei,andsaidtohim,BuildtheeahouseinJerusalem,anddwellthere,andthoushaltnotgooutthenceanywhither.AnditshallcometopassinthedaythatthoushaltgoforthandcrossoverthebrookKedron,knowassuredlythatthoushaltcertainlydie:thybloodshallbeuponthinehead.Andthekingcausedhimtoswearinthatday.AndSemeisaidtotheking,Good<b>is</b>thewordthatthouhastspoken,mylordOking:thuswillthyservantdo.AndSemeidweltinJerusalemthreeyears.Anditcametopassafterthethreeyears,thattwoservantsofSemeiranawaytoAnchussonofMaachakingofGeth:anditwastoldSemei,saying,Behold,thyservants<b>are</b>inGeth.AndSemeiroseup,andsaddledhisass,andwenttoGethtoAnchustoseekouthisservants:andSemeiwent,andbroughthisservantsoutofGeth.AnditwastoldSolomon,saying,SemeiisgoneoutofJerusalemtoGeth,andhasbroughtbackhisservants.AndthekingsentandcalledSemei,andsaidtohim,DidInotadjuretheebytheLord,andtestifytothee,saying,InwhatsoeverdaythoushaltgooutofJerusalem,andgototherightorleft,knowcertainlythatthoushaltassuredlydie?AndwhyhastthounotkepttheoathoftheLord,andthecommandmentwhichIcommandedthee?AndthekingsaidtoSemei,Thouknowestallthymischiefwhichthyheartknows,whichthoudidsttoDavidmyfather:andtheLordhasrecompensedthymischiefonthine<b>own</b>head.AndkingSolomon<b>is</b>blessed,andthethroneofDavidshallbeestablishedbeforetheLordforever.AndSolomoncommandedBanaeasthesonofJodae,andhewentforthandslewhim.AndkingSolomonwasveryprudentandwise:andJudaandIsrael<b>were</b>verymany,asthesandwhichisbytheseaformultitude,eating,anddrinking,andrejoicing:andSolomonwaschiefinallthekingdoms,andtheybroughtgifts,andservedSolomonallthedaysofhislife.AndSolomonbegantoopenthedomainsofLibanus,andhebuiltThermaeinthewilderness.AndthiswasthedailyprovisionofSolomon,thirtymeasuresoffineflour,andsixtymeasuresofgroundmeal,tenchoicecalves,andtwentyoxenfromthepastures,andahundredsheep,besidesstags,anddoes,andchoicefedbirds.Forheruledinallthecountryonthissidetheriver,fromRaphiuntoGaza,overallthekingsonthissidetheriver:andhewasatpeaceonallsidesroundabout;andJudaandIsraeldweltsafely,everyoneunderhisvineandunderhisfigtree,eatinganddrinandfeasting,fromDaneventoBersabee,allthedaysofSolomon.Andthese<b>were</b>theprincesofSolomon;AzariusonofSadocthepriest,andOrniusonofNathanchiefoftheofficers,andhewenttohishouse;andSubathescribe,andBasasonofAchithalamrecorder,andAbisonofJoabcommander-in-chief,andAchiresonofEdrai<b>was</b>overthelevies,andBanaeassonofJodaeoverthehouseholdandoverthebrickwork,andCachurthesonofNathan<b>was</b>counsellor.AndSolomonhadfortythousandbroodmaresforhischariots,andtwelvethousandhorses.AndhereignedoverallthekingsfromtheriverandtothelandofthePhilistines,andtothebordersofEgypt:soSolomonthesonofDavidreignedoverIsraelandJudainJerusalem.

καί ἀγαπάω σαλωμών ὁ κύριος πορεύομαι ἐν ὁ πρόσταγμα δαυίδ ὁ πατήρ αὐτός πλήν ἐν ὁ ὑψηλός θύω καί θυμιάζω

Neverthelessthepeopleburntincenseonthehighplaces,becauseahousehadnotyetbeenbuilttotheLord.

καί ἀναἵστημι καί πορεύομαι εἰς γαβαων θύω ἐκεῖ ὅτι αὐτός ὑψηλός καί μέγας χίλιοι ὁλοκαύτωσις ἀναφέρω σαλωμών ἐπί ὁ θυσιαστήριον ἐν γαβαων

AndSolomonlovedtheLord,<b>soas</b>towalkintheordinancesofDavidhisfather;onlyhesacrificedandburntincenseonthehighplaces.

καί ὁράω κύριος ὁ σαλωμών ἐν ὕπνος ὁ νύξ καί εἶπον κύριος πρός σαλωμών αἰτέω τις αἴτημα σεαυτοῦ

AndhearoseandwenttoGabaontosacrificethere,forthat<b>was</b>thehighestplace,andgreat:Solomonofferedawhole-burnt-offeringofathousand<b>victims</b>onthealtarinGabaon.

καί εἶπον σαλωμών σύ ποιέω μετά ὁ δοῦλος σύ δαυίδ ὁ πατήρ ἐγώ ἔλεος μέγας καθώς διαἔρχομαι ἐνώπιον σύ ἐν ἀλήθεια καί ἐν δικαιοσύνη καί ἐν εὐθύτης καρδία μετά σύ καί φυλάσσω αὐτός ὁ ἔλεος ὁ μέγας οὗτος δίδωμι ὁ υἱός αὐτός ἐπί ὁ θρόνος αὐτός ὡς ὁ ἡμέρα οὗτος

AndtheLordappearedtoSolomoninadreambynight,andtheLordsaidtoSolomon,Asksomepetitionforthyself.

καί νῦν κύριος ὁ θεός ἐγώ σύ δίδωμι ὁ δοῦλος σύ ἀντί δαυίδ ὁ πατήρ ἐγώ καί ἐγώ εἰμί παιδάριον μικρός καί οὐ οἶδα ὁ ἔξοδος ἐγώ καί ὁ εἴσοδος ἐγώ

AndSolomonsaid,ThouhastdealtverymercifullywiththyservantDavidmyfatheraccordingashewalkedbeforetheeintruth,andinrighteousness,andinuprightnessofheartwiththee,andthouhastkeptforhimthisgreatmercy,tosethissonuponhisthrone,as<b>itis</b>thisday.

ὁ δέ δοῦλος σύ ἐν μέσος ὁ λαός σύ ὅς ἐκλέγω λαός πολύς ὅς οὐ ἀριθμέω

Andnow,OLordmyGod,thouhastappointedthyservantintheroomofDavidmyfather;andIamalittlechild,andknownotmygoingoutanmycomingin.

καί δίδωμι ὁ δοῦλος σύ καρδία ἀκούω καί διακρίνω ὁ λαός σύ ἐν δικαιοσύνη ὁ συνἵημι ἀνά μέσος ἀγαθός καί κακός ὅτι τίς δύναμαι κρίνω ὁ λαός σύ ὁ βαρύς οὗτος

Butthyservant<b>is</b>inthemidstofthypeople,whomthouhastchosen,agreatpeople,whichasthisdaycannotbenumbered.

καί ἀρέσκω ἐνώπιον κύριος ὅτι αἰτέω σαλωμών ὁ ῥῆμα οὗτος

Thoushaltgivethereforetothyservantahearttohearandtojudgethypeoplejustly,andtodiscernbetweengoodandevil:forwhowillbeabletojudgethisthygreatpeople?

καί εἶπον κύριος πρός αὐτός ἀντί ὅς αἰτέω παρά ἐγώ ὁ ῥῆμα οὗτος καί οὐ αἰτέω σεαυτοῦ ἡμέρα πολύς καί οὐ αἰτέω πλοῦτος οὐδέ αἰτέω ψυχή ἐχθρός σύ ἀλλά αἰτέω σεαυτοῦ σύνεσις ὁ εἰςἀκούω κρίμα

AnditwaspleasingbeforetheLord,thatSolomonaskedthisthing.

ἰδού ποιέω κατά ὁ ῥῆμα σύ ἰδού δίδωμι σύ καρδία φρόνιμος καί σοφός ὡς σύ οὐ γίγνομαι ἔμπροσθεν σύ καί μετά σύ οὐ ἀναἵστημι ὅμοιος σύ

AndtheLordsaidtohim,Becausethouhastaskedthisthingofme,andhastnotaskedforthyselflonglife,andhastnotaskedwealth,norhastaskedthelivesofthineenemies,buthastaskedforthyselfunderstandingtohearjudgment;

καί ὅς οὐ αἰτέω δίδωμι σύ καί πλοῦτος καί δόξα ὡς οὐ γίγνομαι ἀνήρ ὅμοιος σύ ἐν βασιλεύς

behold,Ihavedoneaccordingtothyword:behold,Ihavegiventheeanunderstandingandwiseheart:therehasnotbeen<b>anyone</b>liketheebeforethee,andaftertheethereshallnotariseonelikethee.

καί ἐάν πορεύομαι ἐν ὁ ὁδός ἐγώ φυλάσσω ὁ ἐντολή ἐγώ καί ὁ πρόσταγμα ἐγώ ὡς πορεύομαι δαυίδ ὁ πατήρ σύ καί πληθύνω ὁ ἡμέρα σύ

AndIhavegiventheewhatthouhastnotasked,wealthandglory,sothattherehasnotbeenanyoneliketheeamongkings.

καί ἐκὑπνίζω σαλωμών καί ἰδού ἐνύπνιον καί ἀναἵστημι καί παραγίγνομαι εἰς ἰερουσαλήμ καί ἵστημι κατά πρόσωπον ὁ θυσιαστήριον ὁ κατά πρόσωπον κιβωτός διαθήκη κύριος ἐν σιων καί ἀναἄγω ὁλοκαύτωσις καί ποιέω εἰρηνικός καί ποιέω πότος μέγας ἑαυτοῦ καί πᾶς ὁ παῖς αὐτός

Andifthouwiltwalkinmyway,tokeepmycommandmentsandmyordinances,asDavidthyfatherwalked,thenwillImultiplythydays.

τότε ὁράω δύο γυνή πόρνη ὁ βασιλεύς καί ἵστημι ἐνώπιον αὐτός

AndSolomonawoke,and,behold,<b>itwas</b>adream:andhearoseandcametoJerusalem,andstoodbeforethealtarthatwasinfrontofthearkofthecovenantoftheLordinSion:andheofferedwhole-burnt-offerings,andsacrificedpeace-offerings,andmadeagreatbanquetforhimselfandallhisservants.

καί εἶπον ὁ γυνή ὁ εἷς ἐν ἐγώ κύριος ἐγώ καί ὁ γυνή οὗτος οἰκέω ἐν οἶκος εἷς καί τίκτω ἐν ὁ οἶκος

Thenthereappearedtwoharlotsbeforetheking,andtheystoodbeforehim.

καί γίγνομαι ἐν ὁ ἡμέρα ὁ τρίτος τίκτω ἐγώ καί τίκτω καί ὁ γυνή οὗτος καί ἐγώ κατά ὁ αὐτός καί οὐ εἰμί οὐδείς μετά ἐγώ πάρεξ ἀμφότεροι ἐγώ ἐν ὁ οἶκος

Andtheonewomansaid,Hearme,<b>my</b>lord;Iandthiswomandweltinonehouse,andweweredeliveredinthehouse.

καί ἀποθνήσκω ὁ υἱός ὁ γυνή οὗτος ὁ νύξ ὡς ἐπικοιμάω ἐπί αὐτός

AnditcametopassonthethirddayafterIwasdelivered,thiswomanalsowasdelivered:andwe<b>were</b>together;andtherewasnoonewithusbesidesourtwoselvesinthehouse.

καί ἀναἵστημι μέσος ὁ νύξ καί λαμβάνω ὁ υἱός ἐγώ ἐκ ὁ ἀγκάλη ἐγώ καί κοιμίζω αὐτός ἐν ὁ κόλπος αὐτός καί ὁ υἱός αὐτός ὁ θνήσκω κοιμίζω ἐν ὁ κόλπος ἐγώ

Andthiswoman'schilddiedinthenight;becausesheoverlaidit.

καί ἀναἵστημι ὁ πρωΐ θηλάζω ὁ υἱός ἐγώ καί ἐκεῖνος εἰμί θνήσκω καί ἰδού κατανοέω αὐτός πρωΐ καί ἰδού οὐ εἰμί ὁ υἱός ἐγώ ὅς τίκτω

andshearoseinthemiddleofthenight,andtookmysonfrommyarms,andlaidhiminherbosom,andlaidherdeadsoninmybosom.

καί εἶπον ὁ γυνή ὁ ἕτερος οὐ ἀλλά ὁ υἱός ἐγώ ὁ ζάω ὁ δέ υἱός σύ ὁ θνήσκω καί λαλέω ἐνώπιον ὁ βασιλεύς

andIaroseinthemorningtosucklemyson,andhewasdead:and,behold,Iconsideredhiminthemorning,and,behold,itwasnotmysonwhomIbore.

καί εἶπον ὁ βασιλεύς αὐτός σύ λέγω οὗτος ὁ υἱός ἐγώ ὁ ζάω καί ὁ υἱός οὗτος ὁ θνήσκω καί σύ λέγω οὐ ἀλλά ὁ υἱός ἐγώ ὁ ζάω καί ὁ υἱός σύ ὁ θνήσκω

Andtheotherwomansaid,No,buttheliving<b>is</b>myson,andthedead<b>is</b>thyson.Sotheyspokebeforetheking.

καί εἶπον ὁ βασιλεύς λαμβάνω ἐγώ μάχαιρα καί προςφέρω ὁ μάχαιρα ἐνώπιον ὁ βασιλεύς

andthekingsaidtothem,Thousayest,This<b>is</b>myson,<b>even</b>theliving<b>one</b>,andthiswoman'sson<b>is</b>thedeadone:andthousayest,No,buttheliving<b>is</b>myson,andthedead<b>is</b>thyson.

καί εἶπον ὁ βασιλεύς διααἱρέω ὁ παιδίον ὁ θηλάζω ὁ ζάω εἰς δύο καί δίδωμι ὁ ἥμισυς αὐτός οὗτος καί ὁ ἥμισυς αὐτός οὗτος

Andthekingsaid,Fetchasword.Andtheybroughtaswordbeforetheking.

καί ἀποκρίνω ὁ γυνή ὅς εἰμί ὁ υἱός ὁ ζάω καί εἶπον πρός ὁ βασιλεύς ὅτι ταράσσω ὁ μήτρα αὐτός ἐπί ὁ υἱός αὐτός καί εἶπον ἐν ἐγώ κύριος δίδωμι αὐτός ὁ παιδίον καί θάνατος μή θανατόω αὐτός καί οὗτος εἶπον μήτε ἐγώ μήτε αὐτός εἰμί διααἱρέω

Andthekingsaid,Dividethelivechild,thesuckling,intwo;andgivehalfofittoone,andhalfofittotheother.

καί ἀποκρίνω ὁ βασιλεύς καί εἶπον δίδωμι ὁ παιδίον ὁ εἶπον δίδωμι αὐτός αὐτός καί θάνατος μή θανατόω αὐτός αὐτός ὁ μήτηρ αὐτός

Andthewomanwhosethelivingchildwas,answeredandsaidtotheking,(forherbowelsyearnedoverherson)andshesaid,Ipraythee,<b>my</b>lord,giveherthechild,andinnowiseslayit.Buttheothersaid,Letitbeneitherminenorhers;divide<b>it</b>.

καί ἀκούω πᾶς ἰσραήλ ὁ κρίμα οὗτος ὅς κρίνω ὁ βασιλεύς καί φοβέω ἀπό πρόσωπον ὁ βασιλεύς ὅτι ὁράω ὅτι φρόνησις θεός ἐν αὐτός ὁ ποιέω δικαίωμα

Thenthekingansweredandsaid,Givethechildtoherthatsaid,'Giveittoher,andbynomeansslayit:'she<b>is</b>itsmother.
